To ski by the light of the full moon is something extraordinary, but moving beneath the bursting glow of a super pink moon is otherworldly and completely entrancing. The mind fears what the eyes imagine the wild footprints in the snow to be. Senses tingle as skis glide cautiously underfoot while eyes waken to the night. Too timid to venture out at the height of the full moon for a ski up the river we set the alarm for an hour before sunrise and caught the tail end of a marvelous moonlight show, the sun rising behind us as we chased the glorious globe over the hill.

Artrophy is vision. It is how we see, we create, we evolve. Artrophy is meant to inspire. I was born with an inherited optic nerve disorder known as Autosomal Dominant Optic Atrophy. The condition causes vision loss and colour vision defects. At first, I had no idea I had vision issues. I was a kid who assumed what I saw was what everyone else saw. Only after years did I realize this wasn't the case. But this is not all about me, the art you see here reflects interpretations of a shared reality between Kupu and me.
